BANANAS ON STEROIDS
If there is a downside to growing wonderful bananas in your backyard, it might be that they tend to be smaller than the grocery store kind. The superior quality of the fruit easily compensates for that. But recently my son showed up with a hand of bananas, (pictured here with some of my backyard fruits for scale) with individual fruits as large as, or larger than, those from the store. The flavor is far superior to the store fruits.
Steroids actually have nothing to do with these great bananas. It’s all done with horse poop. All you want can be obtained at no cost from Donna and Bruce Thompson. Not sold in stores!
