Manatee Rare Fruit Council Scholarships
The Manatee Rare Fruit Council awards one or more 500.00 scholarships annually, on or about August 15th.
Eligibility and Application Requirements
1. Is a resident of Manatee County or Sarasota County.
2. Is a high school senior or a student currently enrolled in an accredited university or technical college.
3. Is expected to pursue a curriculum of study closely related to our agriculture and horticultural interests. The curricula, as listed in the University of Florida's College of Agriculture and Life Science, is offered as an example of the studies we will consider.
4. Is a worthy and capable student who shows extraordinary determination for pursuit of their studies based upon hard work, need, character, academic competence, and leadership potential.
5. Each application packet must include:
1. Manatee Rare Fruit Council scholarship application form.
2. Copy of your transcript (accumulative and current).
3. A letter of recommendation from a professional educator.
6. Completed application packets must be postmarked no later than July 1st.
